Practical provider questions and acceptance checklist

A scope worksheet you complete before contacting anyone — questions to ask, and criteria to accept or decline work against.

Use these questions to convert a vague capability list into a concrete scope. Ask which single conversion the work will optimise for, how audience and offer will be documented, which channels carry the message and why, how copy alignment between channel and landing page will be reviewed, and when the conversion event will be verified relative to launch. Ask what the reporting cadence is and which figures will be compared.

The acceptance checklist is the reverse side of the same sheet. Accept work only when the conversion is stated in writing, the audience and offer appear as one paired sentence, copy alignment has a review step, event verification happens before spend, the cadence is agreed in advance, and every illustrative figure is labelled as arithmetic rather than a result. Decline anything that skips event verification or promises a specific lead count.

Complete this worksheet before any conversation. It takes the ambiguity out of the brief and makes any eventual answer, from any provider, comparable rather than rhetorical.
